Why Should I Join?

This is a complex question and the specific reasons are different for each member we call "brother." Here are a few major reasons Freemasonry may be the right fit for you:

1. A Strong Band of Brothers. Life can be difficult for a man, and having a group of brothers of every age, race, religion, and culture can help men navigate life's more complex moments. From help with projects to fatherly advice, your Masonic brothers share with you good morals and good character to help advise and counsel you when you need an honest opinion.

2. Tradition. Masonic symbolism and ritual offer many men a sense of belonging and stability. It reinforces ethics, principles, and morality. This encourages us to live our loves more honorably.

3. Connecting to the Community. By participating in Masonic charitable efforts, a sense of satisfaction by contributing to the greater good is often felt by our brothers.

4. It's Great Leadership Training! Taking on leadership roles within the Lodge not only helps members discover new ways to enjoy Freemasonry, but also offers practical management and supervisory experience.

5. Discover Who You Are. Freemasonry is not a secret society, but we do have ceremonies and rituals that are secret from non-Masons. The true secret of Masonry is men find out secrets about themselves that they never knew. They find untapped strength in their character, hidden truths about their potential, and unrealized skills.
